About Me

Jennifer Locum, owner of Nurturing New Moms Doula Services is a mother of three and has been happily married for 8 years.  I am a certified teacher and have a heart to teach new moms and their families.  I had my  first child via managed birth complete with epidural and episiotomy.  My second and third were totally natural.  For the birth of my daughter, I was accompanied by a wonderful and supportive husband (trained in the Bradley Method) and a labor doula, who made me feel in control of the situation.  I have a desire to educate and to help new mothers approach the postpartum period with confidence and comfort.  I want this time with the new baby to be special and pleasant, not stressful and discouraging.
